Head of Special Collections to give paper at local conference

Dr Norman Reid, Head of Special Collections and Assistant Director of Library Services, will be giving a paper entitled “Bonfires in the streets: town and gown in the early University” at the day conference 600 Years of Town and Gown: A Celebration of the History and Archaeology of St Andrews. The conference is co-hosted by St Andrews Institute of Scottish Historical Research and the St. Andrews University Archaeology Society and will take place this Saturday, 18 February 2012.     Why such ridiculously short notice for a one-day conference this Saturday?

      Sorry, the conference has been noted for some time on the Institute's and Society's website, we cross posted the information here only because someone from the Special Collections department is involved.
