One of the dragons from “The Book of Wonders of the Age” (St Andrews ms32(o))
A dragon from our 1605 copy of Shahnameh (St Andrews ms28(o))
A dragon from the St Andrews Psalter (St Andrews msBX2033.A00)
Baby dragon from our 15th century Rouen Book of Hours (ms38938).

From our wonderful manuscripts, we have four depictions of dragons to share with you. A dragon in our 17th-18th century manuscript copy of “The Book of Wonders of the Age” (ms32(o)). The dragon in our 1605 copy of Shahnameh, an epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi (ms28(o)). A dragon from the St Andrews Psalter (msBX2033.A00). Finally, a very cute, though stern, baby dragon which illustrates the 15th century Rouen Book of Hours (ms38938).
